Reblogging is cool...Impersonation is not.

I agree with Amy on this one.  Sometimes I go back in and disable comments to avoid this very issue....

When you comment on a post, are you checking to see if it's a reblog? Do you see the word "VIA" at the impersonationbeginning of the post?

Reblogging is a great pat on the back for the original writer but when someone hits the reblog button without adding any of their own commentary, it's easily mistaken for original content if the reader doesn't pay close attention.

I suggest if you're going to reblog, it's nice to add a few words as to why you thought the post worthy of a reblog.

I often read a reblog with comments praising the "reblogger" for THEIR words of wisdom.  I actually did this myself once and then I noticed it was a reblog and removed my comment.

Now for the reblogger.  Please don't respond to those comments as if you are the original poster.  Reblogging is cool...impersonation? Not so much.

If you've reblogged a post and someone comments on "your" great words that explained the meaning of life...you really should reply to that comment and set the record straight.

Giving credit where credit is due will make all your readers love you.
