Earlier this week I wrote Page 12 - Ping!!!

Part of that post follows - plus an update!

Late yesterday afternoon - after a day filled with showing properties to an out of town Buyer, as Suzanne and I were winding down for the day, I heard the Ping!!!

The noise my phone makes when receiving a text message.

"Hey Tony! I just spoke to homeowner that is only available on the weekends.  They'll be home Friday evening, all day Saturday & Sunday. Would you like me to set an appointment for Saturday?"

Color me happy!

Another drop of rain emerges from the "new marketing system".

So - that appointment is set for 2pm on Saturday.

A work in progress...

Stay tuned!

Update

The appointment happened on schedule.

The husband had flown into town for the weekend to get the grounds spruced up for the sale.

The wife was still out of state.

It's an interesting property - over an acre of land, a main house, a huge (1,300 sq foot!) casita, a full woodworking shop, stalls for horses.

The husband shared that they had "a friend who is an agent - but he doesn't like the way they work".

I didn't ask him to elaborate.

The fact that he wanted to meet with us spoke volumes.  Nuff said.

After about 30 minutes of touring and discussion, he shared with us the following:

"This is my bottom line - $xxx, xxx"

"It's going to be up to my wife as to who we hire - but - I'm going to call her and let her know I really like you both."

"Here is her number - please call her as soon as you can - she will handle all the paperwork."

We called.

After a 20 minute discussion we agreed that the next steps would be to get current comps to her, and regroup on a GoToMeeting on Wednesday when both she and her husband would have time available for an in depth discussion.

Funny thing.

They were on our list to be sent a "mailpiece" - but before that shipment went out - our Outbound Call Resource called and connected with them to set an appointment.

Some things are just meant to be!
