To those who cannot understand what the fuss is about re the changes AR made this week.
Try thinking about AR as a home you are selling. Karen visited the the home last week and when she made her first offer it had a neutral paint tone and a swimming pool. Your client rejected the offer as too low. Karen's agent tells you she will be back with another offer. Just as Karen is ready to make a new offer she returns and finds purple green and red paint on all the walls and the swimming pool filled in to make a garden. Worse you raised the list price.
Karen still loves the house but now lowers her offer by $20k to cover the cost of repainting and repairing the pool.
You announce to her agent that you are upset that the offer came in lower. Karen's agent says you knew she was interested in the house you couldhave told us that the changes were going to be made. You reply with "why I know that these changes will help me get a higher list price for the house."
Will there be anger yes. Do both sides need to stop and reflect on the validity of the other's point of view yes.
Will Karen be very upset with her agent who is going to be even more upset with you? Yes.
Could better communication IN ADVANCE have prevented most of the issue yes.
