A few days ago I asked some questions in the 'Rain, as I often do, because I had been approached regarding an opportunity to list a Geodesic Dome home.
Not something we have done before.
Self, I said, we need to have a plan in place BEFORE we decide whether or not to embark on this adventure.
The first two hurdles the Seller posed was, they had NEVER been able to find an Appraiser to appraise the property, and they had NEVER been able to find a Lender to lend on the property.
Not a big deal if you have a cash buyer who doesn't care about the value and will make an acceptable offer.
But that leaves a very limited pool of Buyers.
I'm happy to report that after following a trail of breadcrumbs for the past 10 days, I've managed to identify not one, not two, but three appraisers experienced, competent, willing and able to do an appraisal.
While the time frame(s) for completion are similar, the fees vary significantly (sound familiar?)
We have also found at least two lenders who will lend on the property.
There are some other unique aspects that still need to be fleshed out, but things are looking brighter than this time last week.
