Getting "Ready For Showtime" - Part 5

Next up is Property Preparation - which includes Home Staging and a thorough deep cleaning of the home.

 

It's one thing to live in a home.

 

It's another to have it in the best possible condition so that the professional photographer can showcase the home, attracting buyers and when they set foot in the door, have maximum interest in the property.

 

The items to consider are a lengthy checklist - I suggest you check out HouseTie for a ton of useful information.

 

Thorough deep cleaning is a "no brainer" - wouldn't you have your car washed - and perhaps detailed - prior to selling it?

 

Same thing with a house.  Nothing is a bigger turn off to a prospective Buyer than a dirty, cluttered house.

We tour the property with the Seller and provide them with both a "general" checklist, a "property specific" checklist, and a subscription to HouseTie.  The Seller has the option to engage the services of a professional Home Stager to assist them in the property preparation efforts, as well as having a home cleaning service "deep clean their home.

 

In fact, if the Seller does choose to hire a Home Stager to help get the property "Ready for Showtime", we will reimburse them for the expense at Close of Escrow providing they List, Sell and Close with us representing them.

Good mornign, Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers "showtime"....oh, how I love that word.... in our industry, every day is showtime.... and, yes, the listing presentation is moment with "no dress rehearsals"....it's showtime and, as you've stated, there are steps to get there....
