The CRP in ERC - Part 2

The deed is done - now the wait for the results begins......................

IMPORTANT!!! Your admission letter will contain your personal and confidential test ID and password that will allow you access to your score report online (approximately 4 weeks after the exam date).
It is the candidate's responsibility to keep this information.
(See "
Examination Results" to learn more about the online reporting).

Examination Results
Worldwide ERC® and PES understand the importance of candidates' exam results. While every effort is made to produce timely score reports, accuracy is never jeopardized for the sake of speed. Score processing is more than a simple process of scanning answer sheets, calculating a score, and printing a score report. To ensure accurate score reports, PES conducts a series of system checks and routines before releasing test results.

Once exam materials are returned to PES by the test proctors from each exam location, answer sheets are scanned. Any answer sheet with questionable marks is flagged. Computer images of flagged answer sheets are checked against the original answer sheet to ensure accuracy. In addition, scores near the passing score, unusually high or low scores, and a random sample of answer sheets are verified manually by hand scoring. Once the accuracy of the scanned responses is verified, equating procedures are performed and sample score reports are reviewed to make sure that all information reported is accurate. Score reports are then printed, prepared for distribution, and mailed.

Yes - you read correctly!  FOUR WEEKS for the results in this day and age of instant results via exams on computers!  I am obligated not to divulge any of the questions on the exam.  I can tell you that "registration" began at 8am, and that once all the instructions had been read to us, the exam started at 830am!  I was not the first to finish - but was there only until 945am.  1130am was the scheduled end time.

I sense an opportunity for process improvement - but - I'll wait to see the results before I go making any suggestions!

Tony,

I so overstudied for my RE exam that I was one of the first to finish.  That really worried my, but I'm sure I aced the thing.  I'm sure you did the same.

Tony, I know you feel good ! I am anxious to hear not only how you did, but how it is changing your business. There is only 1 CRP in Ann Arbor and she is really in Ann Arbor, but she told me she gets lots of referrrals for the entire area.

I wouldn't mind doing it, but after you last post, I read all about it and I don't have the experience being a relocation expert. Three years, I think it said.

Congrats on getting it done!  I also don't get the wait for the score - they must have to figure out the answers first :D

If the test scoring is anything like some of the relocation paperwork we've been required to complete in the past, then four weeks is about right on schedule. Good luck with the results!

Congratulations!

Reminds me of the old days when getting a real estate license.  We didn't find out for about that long if we passed the test.  After my first exhausting exam, i went shopping with my daughter, bought a beautiful fantail goldfish and named it Cooley after my real estate school instructor.   I told my daughter if I didn't pass that test I was going to kill the fish!  But, I passed, so Cooley had a good life.

Christina - I suspect they use some sort of a curve so that there is not a 100% pass rate...
